Job Description:

Systems Engineer is expected to work with a multidisciplinary engineering team and support indigenous engine development programs.

Main scope of interest for the position is to lead and execute systems engineering process, perform all required systems engineering related activities, participate in design reviews, suggest and support design best practices, and play a significant role through engine life cycle management.

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for leading/supporting/contributing all systems engineering activities for concept, design, fabrication, test, installation, certification, operation, maintenance, and disposal phase of a gas turbine engine development program
• Performing requirements management activities including gathering, defining, analyzing and validating system and sub-system level requirements, requirements decomposition and allocation, etc.
• Performing interface definition studies to translate customer requirements into hardware and software specifications
• Leading and managing validation & verification activities
• Establishing the link between customer and internal design/project teams
• Preparing/contributing sub-system and component specifications, interface control documents/drawings, verification and validation plans, procedures, reports or other documentation in support of engine development activities
• Performing trade studies in order to guide and support design activities
• Coordinating the development of configuration baselines for systems and sub-systems
• Supporting internal and external design reviews
• Ensuring the support and integration of the integral processes’ (Safety, RMST etc.) activities to the development process
• Tracking, evaluating and reporting on system metrics
  
  

Preferred Qualifications:

• Graduated from mechanical engineering, aerospace/aircraft engineering or related departments of the engineering faculties from reputational universities. (having an MS or PhD degree is a plus)
• Proficient in both spoken and written English    
• Preferably having 2+ years of systems engineering experience in aviation, defense or automotive industries.
• Aircraft or Industrial Gas Turbine design and analysis experience is a plus
• Experience in working within interdisciplinary teams preferably in multinational programs
• Experience mentoring and training other engineers
• Experience working with international stakeholders
• Ability to support multiple activities with competing priorities and deadlines
• Be willing and able to travel nationally and internationally if required.
• Experience in designs that comply with airworthiness rules and aviation standards as related aircraft engines.

·         Knowledge on military and civil standards that is being used in the aviation industry (SAE ARP 4761, SAE ARP 926C, MIL-STD-882E, MIL-STD-1629A, SAE ARP 4754A are preferable.).

• Knowledge on Systems Engineering standards and material (ISO/IEC/IEEE 15288 / 12207 /24748, INCOSE Systems Engineering Handbook (SHE), Systems Engineering Body of Knowledge (SEBoK) etc.
• Experience with applicable engineering tools and systems (i.e. DOORs, PLM)
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
