HSE Scaffolding Manager

We are currently seeking a highly skilled HSE (Health, Safety, and Environment) Scaffolding Manager to join our team at Adana. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in scaffolding management, including the ability to perform scaffolding calculations and ensure subcontractors adhere to safety procedures.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement scaffolding management plans, procedures, and guidelines to ensure safe and compliant scaffolding practices.
• Conduct scaffolding inspections, assessments, and risk assessments to identify potential hazards and control measures.
• Perform scaffolding calculations to determine load capacities, design requirements, and safety factors for various scaffolding configurations.
• Provide technical guidance and support to subcontractors and scaffolding teams to ensure safe erection, modification, and dismantling of scaffolding structures.
• Conduct training and toolbox talks on scaffolding safety, procedures, and best practices for project personnel.
• Monitor and enforce compliance with scaffolding procedures, safety regulations, and industry standards on the construction site.
• Investigate incidents, near misses, and non-compliances related to scaffolding activities, and implement corrective and preventive actions as necessary.
• Maintain accurate records of scaffolding inspections, assessments, calculations, and compliance documentation.
• Liaise with regulatory authorities, clients, and stakeholders on scaffolding-related matters as needed.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 8 years of experience in scaffolding management, preferably in industrial construction projects.
• Strong knowledge of scaffolding systems, equipment, design principles, and safety standards.
• Proficiency in performing scaffolding calculations, including load calculations, scaffold design, and stability assessments.
• Familiarity with relevant HSE regulations, codes, and standards, including OSHA, ANSI, and local regulations.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to effectively manage subcontractors and push for adherence to safety procedures and regulations.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
• Proficiency in MS Office applications and scaffolding software tools.
• Relevant certifications (e.g., CSP, NEBOSH, Certified Scaffold Inspector) will be considered an asset.
