The Communications and Patient Advocacy team is at the heart of how we communicate Novartis to the outside world. As part of your role, you will develop and implement multi-channel communication programs that enhance and protect Novartis’ corporate reputation, its interests and its products to external and internal stakeholders. Provide strategic communications counsel to the business, identify and create communication opportunities and manage communication issues that arise across Turkey for specific Novartis brands. Create and manage relationships with patients, patient organizations and related stakeholders.
Your responsibilities include, but not limited to:
• Through communication activities, enhance and protect Novartis’ corporate reputation and image to support the business interests of the company
• Lead the development and implementation of strategic communication plans for brands as part of the extended Brand team
• Develop strategy and content for multi-channel communications activities (traditional, social and digital channels), aligned to Novartis Pharmaceuticals Turkey's communication objectives, focusing on brands & disease areas that are deemed priority for the business
• Working closely with PR and Social media agencies, track progress, ensure deadlines are met, and ensure quality and compliance in communication materials
• Close collaboration with internal global, regional and local cross-functional teams to enhance communication activities, sharing expertise and educating associates about the value of Communications in the marketing mix.
Patient Advocacy
• Create and manage relationships with patients & patient organizations • Collaborate with cross-functional internal stakeholders to identify projects where the patient perspective is required and help to support execution of these projects Minimum requirements
What you’ll bring to the role:
• Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Journalism, or Public relations and a minimum of 5 years of related experience. Previous pharmaceutical PR experience is beneficial, as is experience in patient group advocacy.
• Experience working in the pharmaceutical industry is a real asset.
• Understanding of key trends in both internal and external environment with an impact on traditional and social media and patient advocacy engagement
• Understanding of the needs and behaviors of a broad variety of stakeholder groups, including patients and their families/caregivers, consumers, medical pro-fessionals, tradit
• Proven ability to build and maintain effective working relationships with key internal stakeholders, including commercial, medical, legal and leadership
• Strong orientation toward cross-functional alignment and collaboration
• Demonstrated communication skills including ability to influence others, champion change and be a thought leader • Fluency in English (additional languages preferred)
