Position Description

The Accountant position plays a critical role in managing Neva's financial operations and ensuring the company's financial health. Employees in this position perform a wide range of tasks, from organising financial records to preparing tax returns. In addition, functions such as preparing financial statements and presenting management reports are also included in this position.

Managing Neva's financial operations focuses on contributing to the company's growth and sustainability strategies, as well as ensuring transparency, accuracy and compliance standards. Employees in this position will have the opportunity to gain experience in the financial management and accounting practices of a company operating in the technology sector.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily cash transactions,
• Enter invoices and track accounts receivable/payable,
• Maintain financial records and transactions,
• Monitor bank accounts and reconciliations,
• Prepare and review BA-BS forms,
• Preparing and filing tax returns,
• Prepare and report financial statements,
• Ensure compliance with accounting regulations,
• Assist with monthly and year-end closing procedures,
• Reporting to management on the financial status of the company.

Qualifications

• Preferably a graduate in accounting or related field from a university,
• Minimum of 5 years accounting experience,
• Proficiency in MS Office programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint),
• Ability to use accounting software (Logo, SAP, etc.),
• Meticulous and organised work ethic,
• Responsible and detail oriented,
• Team player,
• Fluency in written and spoken English (preferred).
