DowAksa is offering the role of Chemist; 

• MSc degree minimum in chemistry, physicochemistry, Analytical Chemistry or Polymer Chemistry/Sciences
• Possess hands-on analytical equipment capabilities (GPC, FTIR, Rheometer, HPLC, DSC, DMA, TGA, etc.) along with wet chemistry experience and analytical abilities,
• Minimum 2-3 years experience in  R&D/ quality units preferably in polymeric materials industries, able to quantify results, leading laboratory activities
• Proficiency in written and spoken English,
• Good knowledge in MS Office and MS Project,
• Residing or to be residing in Yalova or Karamürsel,
• Having no obstacle for travelling  inland or abroad,
• No military service obligation for male candidates,
• Excellent communication and coordination skills,
• Competent in teamwork,
• Strong analytical approach, analytical mind set from problem definition to problem solving.
  
  

JOB DESCRIPTION

• Primarily responsible from performing testing using a variety of technologies including GPC, FTIR, Rheometer, HPLC, DSC, DMA, TGA, GC/MS, Microscopy and FTIR
• Implementing new equipment and instrumentation in the R&D laboratory independently, capable of conducting appropriate qualification and validation activities
• Performing and maintaining the maintenance and calibration of laboratory equipment if/when necessary
• Working in raw material evaluation if necessary under R&D works (such as chemicals used in carbon fiber and composite manufacturing), material characterization, test method development, testing, interpretation of results and reporting of findings under the supervision of Research Manager/Director to support company goals,
• Participates in developing quality control procedures for manufacturing of products,
• Supporting product development projects as team member, working with multiple functions in the laboratory mainly and sites if necessary,
• Providing and maintaining detailed documentation and procedures for all work performed,
• Managing documents, information and projects in electronic format and laboratory notebooks,
• Ensure compliance with government rules and regulations (REACH, OSHA, etc.)
• To maintain safe work environment in responsible processes by following EH&S regulations, rules and policies of projects and continuous improvement initiatives
