Structure Development Engineer

We are looking for “Cooling Research & Development Engineer” for Cooling R&D Section in our production plant in Sakarya/Hendek 

As a Structure Development Engineer within Development Centre, you will be involved in the various aspects of the structural development of cooling group products. (Room air conditioner, Fan coil unit, heat pump)

In collaboration with a designer team, you will design and validate the full unit assembly; this contains selection of refrigerant and hydraulic components (valves, compressor, pumps, fans), piping assembly and metal/plastics casing. You will also take into account the quality (strength, sound, vibration…..), cost, manufacturability, sales and timing requirements.

Because of your various technical interests, you could be involved in and/or take the lead on all parts of the development, this can involve thermodynamical aspects or software specifications.

 Qualifications

·         You have a master’s degree in engineering, for example in mechanical engineering,

·         You are a person with a strong technical interest, willing to lead and follow-up a project,

·         You are a team player who is driven to find solutions for technical requirements and specific client enquiries,

·         You enjoy playing an active role in projects and you have the requisite self-discipline to draw up timetables, make priorities and meet deadlines,

·         Knowledge of both spoken and written English are essential for this position,

·         This vacancy is open to both recent graduates and candidates with experience,

·         Those interested in environmental issues, such as carbon neutrality, are more suitable,

·         Good knowledge of MS office programs,

·         No obstacle for travel in and out of country,

·         Completed military service for male candidates,

·         Driving license (class B),

·         Living or able to live in Sakarya /İzmit,

Job Description

·         Define the optimum mechanical specifications of the products in accordance with sales request, market demands, relevant regulations, quality standards, manufacturing constraints, impact on cost and impact on schedule

·         Execute mechanical design to achieve target product specifications

·         Propose / determine the specifications for each component comprising the product. Selects the materials for each component and proposes / determines the dimensions, shape and processing method

·         To this end, actively cooperate with project team members, with other departments and with suppliers

·         Responsible for these outputs: 2D drawings, 3D data and development BOMs (Bill of Material)

·         Propose and determine the evaluation methods required to assess and verify that component and product specifications are valid. To this end, explain and prove logically that the component and product specifications and their evaluation methods are valid

·         Propose and determine the relevant simulations to be carried out for reviewing or evaluating specifications and carry them out in cooperation with the specialized simulation team

·         Share development information with relevant departments (including sales, service, and logistics outside the factory) as appropriate
